Dr. Cody Friesen is a technology innovator who is passionate about solving the world's greatest challenges. As an entrepreneur and materials scientist, Friesen believes strongly in translational research – using academic research to create products that solve real-world problems.

Founder and CEO of SOURCE® Global, PBC, Friesen and his team developed the SOURCE Hydropanel, a technology that makes perfect quality drinking water, independent of infrastructure, using only sun and the air.

He earned a BSE in Materials Science and Engineering from Arizona State University, and a Ph.D. in the same discipline from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As the Fulton Engineering Professor of Innovation at Arizona State University and a Senior Sustainability Scientist at the ASU Global Institute of Sustainability, he remains active with ASU.
